What participants had to say about Tech Tools 101…

SAMMY’S ENTHUSIASM IS INFECTIOUS !
HER EXPLANATIONS ARE USER-FRIENDLY !
THE WORKSHOP IS INVALUABLE !!

** I attended one of Sammy’s workshops, which opened my eyes to some new ways to use technology. During her workshop, I created a Pinterest board to tag ideas for both my fifth grade teaching team and my students. Within a day of pinning a Jamestown colony comic book to my “Early English Settlements” board, the publisher of the comic book reached out to me to share some additional resources.

** One thing that I liked is the ability to talk to peers and discuss the issues we have. I also loved Sammy’s energy and her ability to create a very comfortable environment.

** One thing I liked is seeing all the important work being done with students around social media in local private and public schools. I liked the stress on student voice and opportunities for collaboration.

** Like all of the hands-on opportunities. Not just theory!

** I liked the practical examples I will be able to take away from this workshop and the connections I’ve made.

** Well-paced modules. So important to begin with the WHY because then you can DO anything!
